Medical seat counseling has been stopped
With the Madurai high court ordering to give 196 marks to all the students who has written the NEET exam in Tamil, medical seat counseling has been suspended for the time being. Due to this, the results of second round counseling for all India seats which should have been released yesterday itself also has been stopped for time being. Counseling for BDS courses also been stopped. So far in the first round of counseling, around 3500 students got admitted in the medical colleges among which there were 2805 students were from state syllabus and rest were from other boards such as CBSE. Medical counsel has informed that further plans for counseling will be held only after further orders from Madurai high court has received.
CBSE is planning to file against the Madurai High court order in Supreme Court soon. There are chances that they will win the appeal as they have mentioned in the rules that if there are errors in regional language questions, English version will be the final one. All the students were given question papers both in two regional languages along with the English version also.
