Lok Sabha admits no confidence motion against NDA Government

When the winter session of the parliament began today, TDP party moved the no confidence motion against the ruling coalition. Lok Sabha speaker Ms. Sumitra Mahajan accepted the motion. TDP moved the motion saying the ruling coalition is discriminating against the Andhra Pradesh and not awarding the special status to the state. Most of the opposition parties supported the motion.

Now, the speaker will allocate the date and time when the motion will be taken for the debate and then voting. In the current Lok Sabha, NDA has 273 MPs against the total strength of 535 and will clearly sail through the motion without much difficulty. This is the test for the unity of opposition rather than the test for the NDA government which is in the last year of the term.
